School Board Members

My name is Teresa Boling. I was born at Mark Reed Hospital in 1960 to Don and Colleen Moore. I have lived in Elma my entire life, except while attending my last 2 years of College. I graduated from Elma High School in 1978. After graduation I attended Grays Harbor Community College for 2 years where I received my Associate in Science transfer degree. I married my high school sweetheart Tom Boling in June of that year and we moved to Cheney Washington. I then went on to finish my major at Eastern Washington University graduating magna cum laude in Dental Hygiene.
After graduation we returned to Elma where we still make our home. We have 3 grown children, Tyson (wife Bethany), Trevan (wife Jessica 2 grandsons Liam and Landon) and Terra currently in college. I have worked as a Registered Dental Hygienist in the area for 31 years. Currently I work for Dr. David Blackett at the Elma Dental Center. I have been at this office for 22 years. I also have worked with teachers and students throughout the county teaching them about good oral health and about careers in the dental profession.
I have been involved with the Elma schools for many years. I have been the past chair of the school levy committee for 4 different elections but I have volunteered for all of the ones I can remember. I was very involved in PTA and booster clubs. I have chaired the I-728 committee which helped get thehigh school science lab. I coached soccer for 11 years and was the soccer scheduler and served on the district soccer board. I have a passion for kids and education. I feel that every child no matter what age can learn and that the word impossible is just a reason not to try.
I wanted to be on the school board to help keep our community involved in the direction to enhance student achievements. In my spare time I love to cheer on the Elma and Eastern Eagles and volunteer to help others when needed.
