School Board Members

School Board Chairman, Carl Jonsson, graduated from Elma High School in1981. He has served on the board since 1999. Carl and his wife Nola have two children - Carl (CJ) and Syrena. He serves on the finance committee for the board. He is active in many community activities.
 
Dan Warren
taught math and computer technology in the Elma Schools for 24 years, before his retirement in 1998. He currently teaches technology courses for ESD 113. He has served on the school board since 2001, and is the legislative representative. Dan and his wife, Seni, have two daughters, Susan and Michelle. The Warrens have four grandchildren Erik, Kiersten, Luke, and Josh

Carolyn Doyle has served on the Elma School Board since 1997. She and her husband Mark have raised five children in our district: Mark, Mathew, Kelli, Adrianne, and Luke. Carolyn worked for several years as a Para educator at Elma Middle School. She is active in her church and teaches the early morning religious instruction class. She and Mark have fifteen grandchildren: Ashley, J.D., Tyler, Kadin, Damon, Jake, Travis, Zachary, Michael, Conley, Caleb, Tanner, Samson, Kamrin, and Madelyn.

Rick Gravatt , a 1971 graduate of Elma High school, has served on the board since 2001. He also served on the facilities committee. Rick and his wife Rosie have three children: Kim, Kari, and Kristi. The Gravatts have one grandson named Brett. Rosie McNutt Gravatt graduated from Elma High School in 1973.

Larry Bridenback is Elma's newest school board member representing District 1. Larry is retired from the Simpson Door Plant. He attends all school sporting events, loves to fish, and is very interested in how the Elma schools and students are doing. Larry is currently serving on the Elma School Board Finance Committee as well as the Facilities Committee.
