Our elementary students learned about fire safety the week of October 5th. Grays Harbor Fire District 5 members brought their Fire Safety House to teach the children about what to do if a fire were to happen in a home. Many fire safety instructions were taught. The highlights were when students learned how to stay low to the ground to avoid smoke and they also learned how to come down a ladder. Ms. Thietje's 1st grade class is pictured standing outside the Fire Safety House wearing the fireman helmets they got to keep. |
