Thank You Elma School District Staff and Community!

Food Bowl resulted in an amazing food drive for the Elma/McCleary Community raising over 57,475 lbs. of food. This event serves the Elma, McCleary, and Malone Food Banks and assists with food and money that stocks the shelves from 2-6 months. It is a critical accomplishment for our community to provide a basic necessity of life that is needed in order to have productive citizens.

The Elma High School ASB/Leadership facilitates this community and school district event. It could not be accomplished without each and every one of our Elma School District Staff’s support. We would like to extend a huge THANK YOU to all. Many of you donated money, food, and time. Many attended and assisted with the Hunger Run, Dodge Ball, and Basket Bingo.

A special shout out goes to the elementary team that had 100% classroom participation and brought in almost 3 tons of food by stuffing the bus!  This was done from a school that has 64% of their students qualifying for free/reduced lunch.

Our students learned about citizenship, servant leadership, and valuable written and oral communication skills. Additionally, our student leaders witnessed amazing acts of kindness and also witnessed the need. This experience has and will make our school and community better. We are proud to serve and know the importance of caring for others and ourselves.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!

Elma High School ASB/Leadership Team
